Love...

Love is something humans have lived with for as long as we’ve existed. We’ve learned about it, experienced it, craved it, and felt betrayed by it.
So much has been discovered about love, yet so much remains a mystery.
It’s this abstract emotion that surrounds us in a way that is as beautiful as it is terrifying.
Because if love had a gun, it would tell you to surrender everything you have in the pockets of your heart, and you would have no choice but to listen.
Spilling everything out for love to see, leaving you raw and vulnerable yet somehow free.
I wrote a poem, because no love is the same. It's hard for us to understand, because one definition usually belongs to one name.
Love...
Love is not overrated, but it's overspoken. Love is loud, yet love is silent. Love is common, yet so unique that people question, 'What is love?'
Love, like time, is relative. It’s hard to tell where it starts or stops. Like droplets of sweet perfume lingering in the air, only your heart can feel it's there.
But beware of the ache, because the love you give, you won't always receive.
The four letters of love hold as many meanings as a handful of sand. Each grain that slips through your fingers is a version of love you won't understand.
So before you step on someone's grain of love, know that sand feels different in their hand.
Instead of judging, ask them to help you understand.
