Hello and welcome to anyone reading this. My name is Ashley, and I moved to Bermuda a year ago.

I grew up in Toronto, raised by my amazing mother, grandma and my village of aunts, uncles, and cousins. They moulded me into the person I am, from my math to skills to my sense of humour.

The Move

When I got to Bermuda I had no idea what I was getting into. I thought it would be like the distant summer visits, but I was wrong. Jiu jitsu, cycling, weight lifting, yoga, and meditation. It's been crazy. When I first got here I would tell my friends "My dad is making me go to jiu jitsu", but now I say "You guys should come to the gym, the first month is free!"

This year has been jam packed with twists and turns, and through blood sweat and tears I am a completely different person than the one who got off that plane.
